Governor Gordon Announces Second Round of Awardees for Semiquincentennial Grant Program Projects will take place in conjunction with the statewide America’s 250th Celebration CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Wyoming Semiquincentennial Planning Task Force has announced the second round of awardees for the Semiquincentennial Grant Program. The first round of grants totaling $90,610 was announced earlier this month. The grants program was launched last year and supported with a $2 million appropriation from the Wyoming Legislature. The grants program provides communities the opportunity to honor and celebrate Wyoming’s role in shaping American history, and encourages a deeper understanding of Wyoming's enduring legacy and its future contributions to the nation. The projects will take place in conjunction with the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. “I’m proud of the projects that communities and others are undertaking to celebrate Wyoming and the 250th celebration of our nation’s independence. These projects showcase our history as Americans and Wyomingites, and will enrich our state for years to come,” Governor Gordon said. Three entities were awarded grants totaling $75,000.
