At a recent rally, Andy Biggs didn’t mince words: He wants to turn Arizona into “the new Florida.”

But let’s be clear about what that means:

• Six-week abortion bans that strip women of their rights
• Book bans and censorship in our schools
• Attacks on the LGBTQ+ community
• A government that silences dissent and controls personal choices

Florida’s extreme laws have hurt real people. And now, Biggs and far-right extremists want to bring that same dangerous agenda to Arizona. Gov. Hobbs is the firewall. She has stood strong against Republican attempts to ban abortion, gut public education, and strip Arizonans of their rights.

But the GOP is hell-bent on replacing her — and Biggs’ comments are just the beginning. If we want to keep Arizona from becoming a copy-paste version of DeSantis’ Florida, we need to act now.
