Leading up to the election, the establishment media dusted off the same old AIPAC talking points - trying to paint Mamdani as radical Islamist and antisemite for simply calling for the end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza. His opponent, Andrew Cuomo, was also backed by the MAGA billionaires who bankroll AIPAC - spending a record breaking $25 million to try and defeat Zohran.
And Zohran kicked their ass.
This is watershed moment in American politics - the tides have turned completely turned against Israel’s genocide and AIPAC’s Islamophobic smears were overwhelmingly rejected by Democrats. Zohran showed Democrats that they can defeat the AIPAC campaign cash and propaganda machine, and paved a way forward for the party to reclaim their status as the pro-human rights and anti-war party.
Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus should take note. Nearly half of the caucus’s members have accepted massive donations from the Trump-aligned AIPAC. AIPAC support is not a boon, it's a liability - and standing with AIPAC will cause these Democrats to lose their seats.
Clean up the Caucus is exposing those so-called “progressives” who have callously sold out to AIPAC. Can we count on you to make a donation of $50, $25, or even $5 so we can give these traitors real consequences with their voters?
