Welcome to our June newsletter!
June is busting out all over, as Macomb County celebrates the opening of Summer!
The Clerk's Office has three office buildings in different Downtown Mount Clemens locations. Often, citizens are confused about where to show up. Please see the video below to see how we handle making sure our visitors are in the right place!
We were very busy during the month, visiting events like the American Polish Festival at the American Polish Century Club, the Italian American Cultural Society, and the Discovery Center in Mount Clemens for the "Joint Service Club Social." And on a sad note, one of Macomb County's finest second-grade teachers has decided to hang up her chalk on the chalkboard and retire. Congratulations, Mrs. Wochaski of Cherokee Elementary School.
Finally, we hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday this year! Please note our offices will be closed on Friday, July 4 and reopen Monday, July 7 at 8 a.m.

Fraud Notify Presentations
Calling all senior citizens! Clerk Forlini will be coming to many local senior centers this upcoming Fall to talk about the Clerk's Office's "Fraud Notify" program.
Fraud Notify is a FREE service, which notifies you of potential property fraud, and is offered to all Macomb County Residents. Learn more on how you can sign up by attending one of the Clerk's presentations near you. Contact your local senior center to register today!

Clerk Forlini visits the American Polish Festival
Clerk Forlini and his wife, Diane, attended the American Polish Festival over the weekend of June 20-22 on the grounds of the American Polish Century Club in Sterling Heights. The event featured a mix of local music, polkas, folk dancers, arts & crafts along with Polish/American cuisine.

"Italian American Cultural Society Hosts 'Ice Cream Social,' Fraud Notify Presentation"

Clerk Forlini visited the Italian American Cultural Society in Clinton Twp.for their annual Ice Cream Social. Clerk Forlini also gave a presentation about the Clerk’s Office Fraud Notify service.
The organization helps preserve traditional Italian culture by sponsoring lectures, classes, conferences and study groups devoted to contributions made to the world by Italians. The IACS also plans and promotes charitable, educational, and cultural activities, which serve the welfare of the community.

"Mount Clemens' Discovery Center Hosts 'Joint Service Club Social' Event"
Discovery Center in Mount Clemens
Clerk Forlini also visited the Discovery Center in Mount Clemens, which hosted its semi-annual “Joint Service Club Social." The Center saluted members of Macomb County’s many service clubs, including the Mount Clemens Optimist Club, Mount Clemens Goodfellows, Rotary Club of Mount Clemens, Mount Clemens Lions Club, Kiwanis Club of Mount Clemens, Central Macomb F.O.P Lodge #187.
The Discovery Center, located in the heart of downtown Mount Clemens (54 Cherry Street), features special exhibits, labs, projects and workshops related to "STEAM" (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) for students of all ages.

Clerk Forlini recently honored Register of Deeds staff member Mary Stephens for 10 years of cumulative service to the County. Mary received a "Certificate of Accomplishment" from the Executive's Office.
