So this past weekend, Donald Trump unconstitutionally ordered U.S. warplanes to strike three of Iran’s nuclear sites... Then he shouted “peace!”—as if bombs create diplomacy.
You cannot bomb your way to peace. This was a reckless act of escalation. This is chaos disguised as leadership. And it’s not just dangerous, it’s illegal.
Under our Constitution, only Congress has the power to authorize war. But once again, Trump has taken us to the brink of war—this time with Iran, a sovereign nation—without provocation from them, without Congressional approval, and without the consent of the people.
And for what? For power, for oil, for defense contracts—and yes, for Israel’s far-right leadership.
This is not our war.
It’s a war to enrich weapons manufacturers. It’s a war waged by oligarchs, for oligarchs. And working people—our communities—are the ones who pay the price.
I founded Politivist Action PAC because we need leaders in Congress who won’t sell out to the war machine. We need leaders who will fight to stop endless war, defend our Constitution, and stand up to both parties when they serve corporate interests over human lives.
Right now, there’s a bipartisan war powers resolution in the House—and the Senate has also followed suit with a companion bill—that would force Trump to get congressional approval before launching more attacks on Iran. That’s quite literally how our system is supposed to work.
So far, only 73 members support the resolution. Out of 535. 72 Democrats. 1 Republican–the sponsor of the Senate bill.
Why? Because the silent leaders are not anti-war. And they’re not anti-oligarchy.
This moment demands moral clarity. It demands action. It demands real leaders.
