Today marks a decade since the historic Supreme Court ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges that legalized same-sex marriage across our nation. This decision bars states from denying marriage to same-sex couples — because no one’s rights should be diminished because of who they love and frankly, it’s nobody else’s business!

It’s Supreme Court-decision season, with rulings expected any day on various issues that will profoundly affect each and every one of us, including a troubling case challenging the right of children to learn from storybooks featuring LGBTQ+ characters and themes. The GOP’s relentless attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and representation are steps backward that we cannot afford to take.

As a lifelong ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Wiley knows that every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, deserves the freedom to be who they are and love who they love without fear of discrimination.
