Climate change is the defining issue of our time – scientists are saying that we have less than ten years to correct it or else we will face its catastrophic consequences. That’s why advocating for a Green New Deal has been a central tenet of my campaign. We can and we need to take bold action to combat the climate crisis.

That’s why today, June 20th at 11:00 am, I’ll be joining a number of candidates from around the country to talk about how we can directly combat climate change at all levels of government. This forum on bold climate action is being hosted by Vermont Lieutenant Governor candidate and fellow Progressive Democrats of America candidate Brenda Siegel, and we’ll be discussing just how climate action can be taken at all levels of government.

Maine lives the effects of climate change every day and we know how drastically they affect our vital industries. If we want to protect our environment and the natural resources that we so greatly depend on, we need to take bold action to reverse climate change – we need to enact a Green New Deal.

Let’s send a Senator to Washington who will fight for a Green New Deal – click here to contribute today! [[link removed]]

I hope you’ll join us as we discuss how, by taking bold action to protect our climate, we can preserve our Earth for our children and future generations to come.
