Dear Friend,

When we launched our annual appeal last December, we knew the movement to abolish immigration detention would need to keep pace with an ever-shifting immigration landscape. True progress demands adaptability —and a deep commitment to meeting our communities’ needs. That’s why we adopted our Executive Director Laura Hernández’s words — “Move with the Movement” — as this year’s theme.

These past six months have put that theme to the test. And you rose to the occasion.

Hundreds of people have donated — just this month alone — bringing us to 92% of this campaign’s $500,000 goal. Your gifts are fueling our work to defend and uphold the dignity of our communities in the face of this administration’s increasingly aggressive attacks.

At FFI, we’re hard at work using these resources to strengthen our National Immigration Detention Hotline, host Know Your Rights trainings for the community, and chip away at the prison-to-ICE pipeline.

But that’s not the only way our community has sprung into action.

This fight takes all of us. And when ICE showed up in our neighborhoods, you showed up. All across the country, communities are pushing ICE out of their neighborhoods.

In LA, we’ve joined thousands of others in protesting for days, making it clear ICE is not welcome here. We’ve also printed informational cards and posters with FFI’s hotline information and distributed them at protests to help ensure everyone has access to vital resources in the event they are detained by ICE.

The success of our work is measured in the number of lives we impact, and it’s your support and solidarity that makes it happen.

With just 5 days left before this critical deadline, will you help us close the gap? If you’ve already given, thank you — and please help spread the word by sharing with your loved ones.
