This is from over a year ago now, when the US Supreme Court struck down a ban on mifepristone, one of the pills administered during a non-surgical abortion.
And while that should be the end of that, the current administration has shown that nothing the Supreme Court says has any power over the wants of King Trump — why else would MAGA minion RFK Jr. prompt the FDA to proceed with a senseless "review of the data" regarding mifepristone?
The answer is simple: the GOP wants to play doctor with none of the experience or credentials, and they're doing it with complete disregard for our health and safety. This isn't about science, it isn't about new data — it's about having absolute control over you and your body.
And it's got to stop. I've been saying this for over thirty years now, John: family-planning decisions, including whether or not to get an abortion, should remain between an individual and their doctor.
