The Department of Labor just announced a “phased pause” of the Job Corps program – which puts thousands of young people at risk of losing access to critical education and career pathways. Job Corps, with centers in Montgomery and Gadsden, is one of a few national programs that targets those aged 16-24 and provides them with a direct pathway to employment.

Terri Sewell and other representatives are standing against this. Will you add your name if you agree that Job Corps must be protected, not paused?  

If this pause isn’t stopped, tens of thousands of young Americans – many from low-income households in Alabama – could lose access to the support they need to thrive. Job Corps gives them a real shot at success through skill training, apprenticeships, and career-building opportunities.
