I just got back from D.C. where I, and fellow Attorneys General, testified in front of a bicameral Congressional forum on the work we are doing to protect the rights of the people.

I spoke to the committee about how scientific research saved my life, and why dismantling the institutions that fuel medical advancement puts us all at risk. I spoke about birthright citizenship, and what it means to a son of immigrants like myself to hear Donald Trump and his allies try to rewrite the 14th Amendment.

But most importantly, I answered questions from Congressional leaders about how my fellow AGs and I are fighting back, and often winning , in the courts.

In these unprecedented times, Democratic Attorneys General have continually stepped up and shown that we will do everything in our power to defend the Constitution and the American people.

I’m proud to be working alongside such determined, smart, and compassionate public servants who are unafraid to stand up to anyone who tries to trample over our laws or our rights.
