Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Kegbreath spent most of their NATO summit press conference throwing embarassing tantrums at the American press for daring to suggest that the illegal and unprovoked bombings of Iran's nuclear facilities didn't actually "completely obliterate" but only "severely damaged" them. Even more bizarre is their insistence that these reports, which, again, came from THEIR OWN INTEL AGENCIES, is somehow a personal affront to the tender and vulnerable feelings of our B-2 bomber pilots, who Trump claim personally called him to do the sir, sir, I'm crying routine about how UPSET they were that the media was demeaning their beautiful, perfect, mission that Hegseth would describe this morning as the "most complex and secretive military operation in history." Sorry, D-Day, guess the largest amphibious invasion in human history doesn't cut it anymore. It is grotesque and humiliating to watch this absolute clown show debacle play out on the world stage; Trump and his liquored-up toady are attempting to yell and berate their way into forcing a lie that EVERYONE KNOWS IS A LIE to become reality.

Senate GOP dealt major blow on megabill health care plans
The GOP's efforts to pay for Trump's Gargantuan Grotesquely Evil tax cut bill by gutting Medicaid were dealt a shocking blow on Thursday morning, as the Senate Parliamentarian struck down major pieces of Medicaid policy, including a politically explosive plan to hold down Medicaid costs by cracking down on a state provider tax — a provision that is expected to have a nine-figure impact on the bill. Sen. Thune and the rest of his vampiric coven of ghouls are walking a tightrope in their efforts to appease both the psychotic extremists in the House Freedom Caucus and the worrywort swing state Republicans who know they'll have to get a real job if this absolute monstrosity passes in its current form, and that just got a WHOLE lot harder. To make matters worse, Thune is facing a full-on revolt from multiple senators who are threatening they won’t vote to open floor debate on the megabill without more "clarity" on Medicaid changes, and others, like Susan Collins of Maine, are displeased with the paltry $15 billion rural hospital aid fund that the Finance committee proposed to try and stop the immediate shuttering of rural America's medical facilities with the end of Medicaid funding. This idea in and of itself was beautifully roasted by Sen. Tammy Duckworth, who said that "It's like the person setting the fire saying, 'We need a fire department' when you're the one that set the fire to begin with ... Americans did not vote for the 'We're All Going to Die Anyway' Party, but that's what they're getting from Donald Trump and his Republican allies." Here's hoping against hope that this time, the GOP has flown too close to Hell and won't be able to climb their way out.

A shocking report from a whistleblower alleges that Trump's nominee for a vacant federal appeals court seat strategized with other DOJ offiicials about how to lie to the courts about obeying their rulings and even said they should tell the courts to "fuck off." "These high-level governmental personnel knowingly and willfully defied court orders, directed their subordinate attorneys to make misrepresentations to courts, and engaged in a scheme to withhold relevant information from the court to advance the Administration's priority of deporting noncitizens," wrote the whistleblower Erez Reuveni, who was fired after admitting to a judge that the Trump admin had mistakenly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador. Anyone who has observed the grim saga of the Trump administration's frantic efforts to skirt the law and deport as many migrants as quickly and cruelly knows that these allegations definitely add up. The idea that this lawless zealout could be on an APPEALS COURT is even more terrifying.

RFK Jr. says US won’t donate to global vaccine effort
Trump's head of Health and Human Services is embarking on a full-blown anti-vaccination crusade that will cause countless deaths not only in the United States but across the world as well. He announced on Wednesday that the US will no longer be donating to the global vaccine alliance Gavi until they have “re-earned the public trust,” which of course means "listens to his crackpot conspiracies instead of science." RFK Jr. apparently takes issue wirth their recommendations on vaccines for DTP (diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis) immunization in high risk areas. This loss of funding would be absolutely devastating and, like everything else the Trump admin does, will fall squarely on the families of the most vulnerable people in the world. It's nihilistic stupidity and cruelty from a stupid and cruel fail-son.

MAGA erupts with Islamophobic attacks on Zohran Mamdani
This won't be particularly unsurprising to anyone, but Zohran Mamdani's stunning election victory in the NYC mayoral race has unleashed a tidal wave of disgusting, depraved racism from the stupidest and most vicious people on the internet. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a fake image of the Statue of Liberty wearing a niqab. Don Jr. posted that "NYC has fallen" and reposted a tweet that said "I'm old enough to remember when New Yorkers endured 9/11 instead of voting for it." GOP propagandist and MAGA groomer Charlie Kirk wrote that "24 years ago a group of Muslims killed 2,753 people on 9/11. Now a Muslim Socialist is on pace to run New York City." The cherry on the shitcake has to go to the Daily Wire's Matt Walsh, who complained that New York City isn't "an American city anymore by any reasonable definition" because "immigrants make up nearly 40% of its population." Stephen Miller himself echoed Walsh, saying that "NYC is the clearest warning yet of what happens to a society when it fails to control migration," which is an insane thing to say about a city which was founded by colonizers and whose entire history, culture, and identity was forged by immigrants. While it's dismaying to see so many voices expressing such appalling, simple, and cruel bigotry, their hysteria should bring a smile to your face. The biggest city in the country just overwhelmingly elected a Muslim, immigrant mayor on a policy platform. Zohran's win is a rejection of everything that MAGA believes in, of everything they've worked so hard to force on the American people. They know they're losing, and they're scared. Good.

Florida is planning to build a new migrant concentration camp deep in the Everglades swamp on a 39-mile airfield — and right off the bat, it’s clear that this is going to be beyond hellish for the innocent people they’ll incarcerate there. Their plans make it seem like they’re building a Civil War-era POW camp rather than a facility to hold people who, again, ARE NOT CRIMINALS. "We'll have some light infrastructure, a lot of heavy duty tent facilities, trailer facilities," said Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said. "We don't need to build a lot of brick-and-mortar." The entire reason the airfield is vacant in the first place is because construction on the project was stopped in 1970 over environmental concerns — but Trump and DeSantis couldn’t care less about the creatures and the wilderness of the state that they themselves live in. In fact, the entire point of putting the camp in the Everglades is the hope that the wildlife will kill them. "You don't need to invest that much in the perimeter. People get out, there's not much waiting for them other than alligators and pythons. Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide,” said Uthmeier. It's clear that the alligators are not the monsters in this story.

Netanyahu has been on trial for charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust since 2020, and is believed to be dragging out the genocide against Gaza in part to avoid having to face the music.
