These seven puppies came to PAWS from Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) after being confiscated during a cruelty case. When the police initially found them, the puppies were underfed, covered in filth, and fighting over what little food they had. There were no toys. No loving pets and snuggles. No socialization. Not even a momma to care for them.
They didn’t get to be puppies—they were just trying to survive.
The city shelter cleaned and fed them, but CACC is so overcrowded they were all housed together in one small kennel. As CACC’s largest transfer partner, we rescued them, bringing them to our Medical Center for care. When they arrived at PAWS, all seven had intestinal parasites.
But they also had something else: hope.
Now, thanks to supporters like you, they’re safe. They have room to play, nutritious food, medical care, and for the first time… toys. Especially for Munchkin, the runt of the litter, that means everything.
Today, your gift can help us rescue the next litter of puppies—or the next stray cat, or the next senior pet—and give them the future they deserve.
