Climate Champion, The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) just announced plans to repeal landmark rules requiring many coal and gas-fired power plants to cut climate pollution by 90% by 2032. If it were a country, the US power sector would be the seventh-largest polluter in the world. Repealing these rules gives some of the biggest climate polluters in the country an effective free pass to keep polluting with no regard for our climate and the air millions breathe. The rules targeted by EPA are critical in helping the US rapidly reduce the greenhouse gas emissions changing our climate and creating more catastrophic and costly storms, floods, fires, and heat waves. We can’t afford to roll back these life-saving protections. Repealing power plant rules are just the beginning. If EPA gets away with this proposal, you can be sure other climate regulations are next. Thanks for that all you do, -Your friends at Climate Reality P.S.
