July Chapter Meeting

Hi John,

Following our new routine of alternating our chapter meetings between Santa Barbara and Goleta, our next chapter meeting will be back in Santa Barbara at the Quaker Meeting House, 2012 Chapala Street. We've got an exciting agenda including some upcoming events and reports from four working groups: immigration, electoral, outreach, and education. If you can't make it in person, a Zoom link will be provided upon RSVPing to our event page, which you can find here. We hope to see everyone there!

Cooperatives Under Capitalism

The Isla Vista Food Coop is holding an event on how cooperatives operate in a capitalist environment on Monday, June 30 at 5pm on their patio. It should be interesting for anyone keen on that kind of business practice.

DSA Convention Delegation Fundraiser

We will go into this in greater detail at the chapter meeting, but David, Andrew C, and Alissa are three members planning to represent our chapter at the DSA National Convention in Chicago this August. Travel to Chicago isn't cheap, so they could use any support you're willing to give. We've set up a GoFundMe to help pay their way, feel free to start contributing to it and passing it around
