The grants were part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Environmental and Climate Justice Program. The decision to terminate these programs not only fails to address current public health harms, it also leaves communities without resources to respond to environmental disasters. We are suing to reinstate these grants.

Earthjustice goes to court to defend everyone’s right to clean air and water, no matter where they live, their race, income, or who they voted for.

Instead, the Trump administration has unlawfully terminated congressionally approved funds intended for nonprofits, Tribes, local governments and schools.
