Dear A.,
The Israeli Atomic Energy Commission said today that the U.S. strike on Iran's Fordow nuclear facility, "destroyed the site’s critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable," and that Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons has been set back by "many years."
This echoes comments from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi earlier this week: "Given the explosive payload utilized, and the extreme vibration-sensitive nature of centrifuges, very significant damage [to Fordow] is expected to have occurred."
An Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson even admitted that the country’s nuclear installations had been "badly damaged" by the U.S. strikes.

In a statement today, looking back at Operation Rising Lion, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir

said , "We caused significant damage to [Iran's] missile capabilities, we removed hundreds of launchers, and we caused a significant delay with their force build-up plans," notably adding that this was "made possible, among other things, thanks to full coordination and deception by air and ground commando forces."
"These forces operated covertly deep in enemy territory and carried out operations that granted us operational freedom of action," Zamir said.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu made clear, "We sent Iran’s nuclear program down the drain. If someone in Iran tries to restore that program, we will act with the same determination… to cut off any such attempt."
With the ceasefire between Israel and Iran now in place, continued American support will be essential to solidify and build upon the progress made by the U.S. and Israel in this war.
Together, we must work with Congress and the administration to:
-
Ensure Iran's nuclear program remains permanently dismantled, that it never has enrichment capabilities, and its ballistic missile program is destroyed. Iran must not be allowed to repair and rebuild its proxies across the region.
-
Ensure that Israel's capabilities are replenished after a war that saw Israel use large quantities of offensive and defensive weapons.
-
Work to expand the circle of peace in the Middle East, bringing Saudi Arabia and other Arab and Muslim states into the Abraham Accords.Thank you for your continued support for AIPAC and our vital mission to ensure America always stands with the Jewish state.
Gaza aid efforts continue; Seven IDF soldiers killed
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distributed nearly two million meals to Gazans today, for a total of nearly 44 million meals distributed in the last four weeks.
"We are always coordinating with our partners on the ground to make further improvements to our operations to ensure the safest and most secure aid distribution possible. We continue to combat misinformation spread by Hamas and picked up by international news organizations, but we remain undeterred – our system is working, and we are saving lives," GHF Interim Executive Director John Acree

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has

This afternoon, the IDF

intercepted a Houthi drone, saying: "A short time ago, the Air Force intercepted a drone that was apparently launched from Yemen. The UAV did not enter the country’s territory."
A senior Houthi leader posted on social media earlier in the day: "True victory is to adopt the cause of supporting Palestine, to confront the American hegemony, to stand against the Zionist entity, to thwart its goals, as well as to strike deep into its core without hesitation, without concern for calculations or losses."
The United States must continue to stand with Israel and confront the threat posed by Iran's terrorist proxies.
