Brooklyn Young Democrats were out in full force this primary season — and we couldn’t be prouder.
Through the heat, the long days, and the final push, our members showed up. We knocked doors, made calls, and stood with candidates who share our values. BYD members joined over 50 canvasses this cycle, building momentum and community across Brooklyn and beyond.
And it paid off.
Shahana Hanif, Alexa Avilés, and Crystal Hudson all won by massive margins. Antonio Reynoso swept throughout Brooklyn. And a huge congratulations to Kayla Santosuosso on her powerful campaign and showing. These victories are a testament to what we can accomplish together.
Whether you were out there sweating through a field shift or making calls from home — thank you. This is what grassroots power looks like.
Now, we rest (a little) — and then we get ready to go even harder for the general election.
