*P**ublic meeting set for Wayne Disposal, Inc.’s hazardous waste management facility operating license application*

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), and the United States Environmental Protection Agency, will host an in-person and virtual public meeting on the Wayne Disposal, Inc., Hazardous Waste Management Facility Operating License Application on June 26, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm at the Wayne County Community  College District, Ted Scott Campus, 9555 Haggerty Road, Belleville, Michigan.  Anyone interested in joining virtually can join for the presentation, question, and answer portion of the meeting starting at 7:00 p.m..

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.:  Open House.  Come and meet the project staff in-person and ask questions about the application.

7 p.m. – 8 p.m.:  Presentation, followed by panel question and answer session.

Wayne Disposal, Inc. submitted an Application in accordance with Part 111, Hazardous Waste Management, of Michigan’s Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended, and the administrative rules promulgated thereunder.  Wayne Disposal, Inc., proposes to expand the disposal volume and add hazardous waste storage and treatment capacity at its facility located at 49350 North Interstate-94 Service Drive, Belleville, Michigan.
