Happy Pride month, folks!

John at Pride in 2005

That’s me and Teddy celebrating Pride way back in 2005!

Pride month is a time to celebrate the vibrancy, spirit, and courage of the LGBTQ+ community — and to recognize that we still have lots of work ahead of us to achieve full equality for all people.

This year, Pride month comes at a time when Donald Trump and Republicans across the country continue to attack the LGBTQ+ community. And it comes just a few years after the Supreme Court signaled it could overturn its Obergefell v. Hodges decision that legalized marriage equality nationwide.

Folks, we must remember that Pride began as a protest against injustice. The best way to honor Pride month is by taking action, so we’re asking: Will you sign on to our petition demanding that the Senate pass the Equality Act to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity?
