Good morning, John,

I want to share some updates with you from Congress and across our nation. Here are three things you need to know:

1. The United States Census is underway, and the data that it collects will greatly impact funding, political representation, and voting rights for Georgians. If the American Dream is to be accessible to every American, we must count every American. This year you may fill out the census online, and it is not too late. Click here for more information.

2. The Justice in Policing Act, a bold legislative package that includes common-sense community protections and police accountability measures, has garnered support from House Democrats. Though this bill is shaping up to become a partisan battle, I am calling on my Republican colleagues to stand up for justice and civil rights by supporting this bill.

3. June 30 marks the end of this quarter and filing period, and it is important for my reelection campaign that we meet our fundraising benchmarks. I do not enjoy asking for money, but I need to request: If you would like me to continue advocating for voter protections, rural infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility, please consider making a contribution this week.

Sincerely,
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.
