Given the nationwide protests against police brutality, now is the time for Congress to take concrete steps to ensure no more Black lives are lost due to unnecessary and unlawful to police violence. That's why I'm supporting the Justice in Policing Act, which proposes actionable reforms to change law enforcement for the better.

Will you join me by signing your name as a citizen co-sponsor of the Justice in Policing Act?

Like so many of you, I want to see a change in this country's law enforcement, especially when it comes to the way Black and Brown people are policed. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Rayshard Brooks are just a few of the Black people who have been killed at the hands of police, but there are countless other names we'll never know.

We cannot go on like this. These lives mattered, and we must take action to make sure their deaths do not go unanswered.
