Abel has been obsessed with basketball since he was a toddler watching Michael Jordan highlights. But growing up, Abel was bullied and made to feel like he didn’t belong. Everything changed when he found Special Olympics.

The court became a place where he felt strong. Supported. Seen. Today, he’s studying sports journalism and inspiring the next generation of athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) to dream big and never quit.
