Jen BiddisonBehind every winning female candidate is a team of people who have inspired and empowered her to break barriers and reach new levels of influence.

In this month's newsletter, we're spotlighting some of those who have given sacrificially to lift women up -- from the woman who founded Maggie's List, to our state chairwomen who identify and recommend promising women in their states, to those of you who support us with your time and finances.

What inspired you to join our team of supporters? I'd love for you to share your personal connection with Maggie's List by emailing me at [email protected].

As always, thank you for your support!

HONORING SANDRA MORTHAM AND PAUL MITCHELL

The mood was celebratory on June 6 when Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN) honored Maggie's List Founder and Chair Sandra Mortham with its 2025 Architect of Society Award. Inspired by Harriet Beecher Stowe’s words that “Women are the real architects of society,” this award is given to a woman who exemplifies the qualities of a public leader: effective, principled, and a true public servant.

“It’s an incredible honor to receive the Architect of Society Award from WPLN,” Sandra said. “To every woman thinking about running for office: do it. Just do it. The truth is, women are still underrepresented at every level of government, and we can do better. That’s why the work WPLN does—teaching the fundamentals, building confidence, and creating a support system—is so critical. You have to be willing to fundraise, to prepare, and to surround yourself with good people. If we want more women in leadership, especially center-right women, we need to step up, support each other early, especially in primaries, and make our voices heard.”

Maggie's List Florida Chairwoman Carole Jean Jordan was also on hand to present WPLN's 2025 Daniel Anthony Award to Paul Mitchell, partner at The Southern Group, who has long been a friend of Maggie's List and a supporter of female candidates. (He's also the son of Maggie's List Board Member Anita Mitchell!) Paul's award, named for Susan B. Anthony’s father, recognizes a man who has provided critical support to a female public leader or leaders.

"Supporting women in public leadership isn’t just the right thing to do. It's essential to building a better future," Paul said.

HONORING MARTHA JENKINS

Martha Jenkins, North Carolina state chairwoman of Maggie's List, is one of Maggie's List's most prolific state chairs. She is consistently one of our biggest fundraisers and has already recruited five congressional partners this cycle -- more than any other state to date.

But her support of conservative women doesn't stop with Maggie's List. She has recently been nominated for the 2026-2027 National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) presidency, and we are excited to see her empower women in that role as well.

We're so grateful for all of our state chairwomen who identify promising women in their states who they believe deserve a Maggie's List endorsement.

HONORING YOU, OUR SUPPORTERS

We couldn't support conservative female candidates without the generosity of our donors. And each of you has a story, a reason why you have chosen to support Maggie's List. Would you please drop me at note at [email protected] and let me know how and why you joined our tribe?

THANK YOU TO OUR PARTNERS!

We are so grateful for those who support our mission to increase the number of conservative women elected to federal public office.

Congressman Glenn "GT" Thompson

Thank you, Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson (PA-15), for renewing your status as a Maggie's List Congressional Partner! We appreciate your leadership as Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee as well as your leadership in supporting conservative women.

DONATE TO REP. THOMPSON

If we want to endorse strong female conservative candidates from every state, we need to have Maggie's List state chairwomen in every state.

We are currently seeking chairwomen for Rhode Island, Utah, South Dakota, Maine, Missouri, Idaho and Vermont.

Do you know energetic, connected women in any of these states who'd be strong advocates for Maggie's List's mission to see more conservative women elected to federal office? If so, please contact Jen Biddison at [email protected].
