Team, three years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade , stripping away a fundamental right millions of Americans had relied on for nearly half a century. And they didn’t stop there.
Since then, we’ve seen attacks on medication abortion, threats to IVF, and efforts to punish doctors who are simply doing their jobs, even here in New York.
D.C. Republicans are hard at work trying to pass abortion bans — including Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who is selling out millions of New Yorkers who voted to protect reproductive rights in our state constitution last year.
I'm fighting back at every turn. Under my leadership, New York passed a shield law protecting doctors who provide abortion care to patients traveling from hostile states. We expanded access to reproductive health care, invested in abortion providers, and enshrined abortion protections into state law.
And today, I am proud to announce another step my administration is taking to protect reproductive care: we're commiting nearly $25 million more in State grants to organizations in New York that support abortion care.

I am proud of the strides we have made to make New York a national safe haven for reproductive rights.
But that progress is on the line. We cannot go backward. We cannot let D.C. Republicans erase the rights we’ve fought so hard to protect.
If you believe in keeping New York a beacon of freedom, if you believe women should have the right to make their own choices, I need you with me.
Can you make a contribution today to help us protect reproductive freedom in New York and beyond? [[link removed]]

I’m always proud to stand up for reproductive rights in the state of New York — the place where the fight for women’s rights started.
Ever Upward,
