Friends,

Before I ran for Congress, I ran a small auto shop with my husband. I didn’t plan on becoming a politician — I just got tired of watching D.C. ignore people like us.

Now I serve the people of Washington’s 3rd district in Congress and represent one of the most competitive districts in the country. As a Blue Dog, I’m working with colleagues who know what it means to roll up their sleeves and deliver real results.

But here’s the hard truth: Special interests are spending millions of dollars to defeat members like me — and our best shot at pushing back is by sending in a strong end-of-quarter fundraising report.

Will you split a donation between me and the Blue Dogs to help us reach our goal before the deadline on Monday? [[link removed]]

Thanks for believing in normal people like me.

— Marie

We’re pro-America, pro-democracy, and working to pass fiscally responsible policies that benefit everyday, hard-working Americans. We need your help to defeat the extemists in D.C. So, will you please chip in to help elect more normal people like us to Congress? [[link removed]]
