Three years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade — and in doing so, they stripped away a fundamental right that generations of women relied on.
Since then, we’ve seen the consequences of the decision play out in hospitals, courtrooms, and families’ lives across the country.
Women have been denied emergency care. Doctors have faced impossible legal and ethical choices. And people have been forced to travel hundreds of miles just to access the care they need.
I’ve spent my life in medicine, and I’ve never seen anything like this. But what’s even more alarming is what’s happened since.
Just last month, House Republicans passed a budget that would rip health care away from millions by slashing Medicaid and Medicare — lifelines that countless women and families rely on.
And now, the same extremist forces behind the Dobbs decision are coming after even more. They’re targeting contraception, attacking trans rights, and rolling back protections for LGBTQ+ Americans.
Because this was never just about abortion. It’s about control — control over women, over queer and trans people, and over anyone who doesn’t fit into their narrow vision of what America should be.
That’s why the fight to flip the House in 2026 couldn’t be more urgent. We have to stop Trump and the Republicans from continuing their crusade against everyone's rights — and take back the rights they’ve deliberately and aggressively stripped away.
Republicans know they need to flip seats like mine to keep control of the House. That’s why they’re pouring money into our district, trying to replace me with someone who will rubber-stamp their attacks on women, LGBTQ+ Americans, and our most basic rights.
Will you chip in $ today to help us defend this seat and fight back against the GOP’s continued assault on our rights? [[link removed]]

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
