It’s the law — plain and simple.
Three years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Every day since, far-right politicians have done everything they can to strip away fundamental rights — including trying to deny pregnant patients lifesaving emergency care.
That’s against the law.
We aren’t letting them get away with this. Today I co-led a coalition of 22 attorneys general who sent a letter to the American Hospital Association urging hospitals across the country to comply with EMTALA — the federal law that guarantees access to emergency medical care, including abortion care.
Refusing that care endangers the lives of pregnant people everywhere, leading to unnecessary suffering and death.
As Attorney General, I will continue using every legal tool available to hold hospitals accountable and defend access to emergency abortion care — because these decisions belong to patients and their healthcare providers, not politicians or administrators.
We can’t let up — but our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is coming up fast, and my re-election campaign relies on grassroots donations to keep us in the fight.
I’m asking for your support. If you can, please make a contribution before the June 30th deadline:

Thanks for stepping up. We can’t do this without you.
