Oral argument coming up tomorrow
The full 9th Circuit will re-hear a lawsuit brought by pro-voting groups challenging an Arizona law that allowed county recorders to cancel a voter's registration upon receiving information that the voter was registered in another jurisdiction.
The hearing is not about the merits, but the organization's ability to bring the suit. A 9th Circuit panel ruled that the organization lacked standing and voided a lower court ruling blocking Arizona's cancellation policy. The DOJ will also participate in oral argument.
