Under President Trump’s leadership, peace through strength is back.
Earlier this month, Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran, hitting nuclear facilities and scientists, missile sites, and top military leaders. The countries have continued striking each other in the days since, with the U.S. helping Israel to intercept and destroy incoming Iranian ballistic missiles.
As you may know, President Trump and his team have spent months negotiating in good faith with Iran to reach a nuclear peace agreement. Yet the Iranian Regime signaled it was unwilling to continue talks amidst Israeli strikes. Notably, U.S. Central Command General Kurilla recently testified that Iran is “mere steps” from reaching weapons-grade uranium, adding if the Regime decided to “sprint to a nuclear weapon,” its current stockpiles could produce “up to ten nuclear weapons in three weeks.”
President Trump has repeatedly urged an unconditional surrender from Iran, firmly stating the Iranian Regime cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. After weighing with his national security team on whether to directly combat Iran’s nuclear program and the severe threat it poses to our nation, President Trump took decisive action over the weekend.Â
On Saturday, the U.S. struck three Iranian nuclear sites, Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Dubbed “Operation Midnight Hammer,” B-2 stealth bomber pilots made a 37-hour trip from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri to Iran and back — representing the longest B-2 mission since 2001. U.S. forces launched a total of 75 precision-guided munitions, including 14 GBU 57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators — 30,000 pound bunker-busting bombs.
President Trump touted the mission as a success, noting the attack obliterated Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Yesterday, Iran responded by launching a theatrical retaliatory attack on Al-Udeid, the American airbase in Qatar — which resulted in no U.S. casualties. Iran gave the U.S. advanced notice of the attack, presenting a performative strike similar to Iran’s response after President Trump took out General Qassem Soleimani in 2020.
After the strike, President Trump stated “Iran can now proceed to peace and harmony in the region,” adding he will encourage Israel to follow suit. Hours later, the President announced that he brokered a ceasefire between the two nations.
Folks, President Trump’s decisive action was historic. The Trump Administration has successfully devastated Iran’s nuclear capabilities and negotiated a ceasefire between Israel and Iran — all without resulting in any U.S. injuries or sparking a larger regional conflict. Under President Trump’s leadership, “Peace through Strength” isn’t just a slogan, it’s a proven, winning strategy.Â
As we continue to monitor the situation, I’m hopeful both Iran and Israel will abide by the ceasefire and follow President Trump’s sincere calls for peace. Please join me in continuing to pray for America, our troops, and harmony in the region.
