When I became the first openly gay U.S. Senator elected in our nation’s history, I felt the weight of that responsibility. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives — and I wanted to be an unapologetic advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

Now, over a decade later, we have the chance to make history again and give LGBTQ+ folks another champion in the U.S. Senate. Angie would be the first lesbian mom ever elected to the U.S. Senate and the first LGBTQ+ U.S. Senator in Minnesota history. It’s about time, right? 🏳️‍🌈

In Congress, Angie has made it her mission to take on Big Pharma and lower prescription drug prices, protect marriage equality through the Respect for Marriage Act, stand up to corporate monopolies that are jacking up costs and go to bat for working families.

Now, with Donald Trump back in the White House and the GOP in the majority, the challenges we’re facing are greater than ever. Republicans have introduced or passed nearly 600 bills just this year that roll back rights and protections for LGBTQ+ folks.

To make matters worse, Trump and his right-wing allies are trying to take a sledgehammer to our health care, our Social Security and Medicare, our jobs and our fundamental rights.

Trump will do everything in his power to push forward this dangerous agenda — including using his $600 million war chest to target and defeat Democrats like Angie.

I know what it’s like to have the MAGA machine deadset on defeating you – so believe me when I say Angie cannot win this race without a whole lot of help.

Angie is more than ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work — and I can’t wait to have an advocate like her joining me in the U.S. Senate. So I’m personally asking you: Will you split a donation today to help Angie secure a victory in Minnesota’s wide-open Senate race?
