I know there’s a lot happening in Washington, but here in San Diego, we have a special election coming up that will determine control of the County Board of Supervisors — and we can’t afford to sit this one out.
I’ve had the chance to work closely with Paloma Aguirre in her role as Mayor of Imperial Beach. She’s a thoughtful, dedicated public servant who cares deeply about people and results — not headlines or politics. From fighting to cleanup up the sewage crisis to standing up for working families, I’ve seen firsthand what kind of leader she is. She listens, she shows up, and she delivers.
Now she’s running for County Supervisor — and the stakes couldn’t be higher. If her opponent wins, the Board majority flips — and San Diego will be back in the hands of Trump-aligned Republicans who want to bring DOGE-style cuts to essential services like housing, healthcare, and nutritional assistance. We’ve seen that movie before — and we know how it ends.
Paloma is a responsible, common-sense Democrat who believes in building affordable housing, lowering the cost of utilities, and fighting for environmental justice. She’s the kind of leader we need right now — steady, pragmatic, and focused on solving problems.
But this will be a low-turnout, high-stakes election. The far-right is already spending big — and we need to match them.
Will you chip in today to help Paloma win and keep San Diego moving forward? [[link removed]]
