John,
Today marks three years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, dismantling nearly 50 years of precedent and stripping away the constitutional right to abortion for millions of Americans.
Like so many of you, I was shocked, outraged – and determined to act.
In the years since, Republican-led legislatures across the country have passed laws that criminalize abortion, threaten doctors, and put deeply personal medical decisions in the hands of politicians. The results have been devastating, especially for women, trans and nonbinary people, and low-income communities.
As your representative, I was proud to cast the first pro-choice vote in West Michigan’s history. And I remain more committed than ever to protecting reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy for all.
But we know what it will take: We must retake the House to pass legislation that codifies the protections once guaranteed by Roe v. Wade.
I hope you’ll stand with me in this fight. Your support – at any level – powers this campaign and this movement.

Three years without Roe is three years too long. Let’s keep fighting – together.
With gratitude and resolve,
