John,
For the last several weeks, I have been considering making another run for the U.S. Senate here in Nebraska.
I’ve met with voters – some who supported me last time, some who didn’t. I’ve talked with leaders in labor and other key constituencies. I’ve called donors. And most importantly, I’ve sat down with my wife and our kids to see if we’re prepared as a family to put ourselves through the ringer again.
When I ran against Republican Deb Fischer last year, we got 47% of the vote in one of the closest Senate races in the country. And the early polling shows I would start in a virtual tie – 46% to 45% – against literal billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts.
Here’s where I’m at: I’ve decided that if there’s enough money to let me fight back against the smears and attacks on me and my family, I’ll do it. I’m ready. It’s just too damn hard to ignore what’s happening right now.
But I mean it when I say *if* there’s enough money. I need to know you’ll have my back if I’m going to put my family through another grueling run as I take on a literal billionaire.
Please use the links in this email to start a monthly donation through ActBlue:
We have a chance to replace a billionaire with a blue-collar union mechanic.
But I am only going to do this if I have the support of people like you again.
Thanks,
Dan Osborn
