John,
Recent prosecution records reveal that in the fall of 2022, two people tried to register fake voters in Minnesota.
They failed.
Our office began working with the FBI and local officials the moment we were alerted.
Thanks to the extensive checks built into Minnesota’s voter registration system, we stopped the scheme in its tracks. No fake voters were registered. No ineligible votes were cast.
This is how election security is supposed to work.
We won’t tolerate fraud in Minnesota, and this case shows that our safeguards are working. But keeping those protections strong takes constant vigilance.
I will not stop protecting the right of every eligible voter to cast their ballot, but it’s more critical than ever that I have your support.
Our next end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is June 30th and we need to raise another $25,000 before then. Will you chip in $10 or more to help us continue protecting the freedom to vote before the end-of-quarter deadline?

I’ve spent years working to build this system, not just from behind a desk in St. Paul, but by traveling across Minnesota to hear directly from voters and election officials.
Every piece of our election infrastructure was designed with input from real people who believe, like I do, that democracy only works when everyone has a voice.
What happened in 2022 proves our systems work, but it also proves how important it is to keep investing in them. That takes time, effort, and resources.
We’re $25,000 away from our June 30th goal. With your support, I’ll keep doing everything I can to protect the right to vote in Minnesota.
Thank you,
Steve
