In a 5-4 decision this week, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump Administration could not move forward in shutting down the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, as previously planned.

Effectively asserting that while the Obama Administration started the program by executive action, the Trump Administration could not rescind it by executive action. Establishing a baffling and senseless legal double-standard.

In his dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas accurately summed up what took place, “Today’s decision must be recognized for what it is: an effort to avoid a politically controversial but legally correct decision.”

The facts surrounding the case were clear. The Trump Administration was in the right, but instead of making the legally correct decision, the highest court in the land chose to abandon the law for a baffling display of judicial activism.

On Friday, June 12, police in Atlanta, Georgia responded to a call of a man sleeping, in a parked vehicle, in a Wendy’s drive-thru lane.

After officers woke the man, later identified as Rayshard Brooks, they asked him to move his vehicle out of the drive-thru lane, before they had a conversation with him.

Following a roughly 41 minute conversation with Brooks, officers on scene moved to arrest him for DUI. It was at this point that Brooks became combative, resisting arrest, physically assaulting officers, and stealing one of their tasers.

As he attempted to flee the scene, he turned, aimed, and fired the taser at police, causing the pursuing officer to shoot and kill Rayshard Brooks.

After word of incident spread, protests erupted, which in some cases quickly devolved into riots. Coming on the heels of protests and riots across the nation following the death of George Floyd in police custody, many were calling for the officers involved to be charged.

Days after this, the Fulton County District Attorney, Paul Howard, announced 11 charges against the now former Atlanta Police Officer Garrett Rolfe, including felony murder.

His announcement was met with cheers by some and disbelief by others. It was nothing more than capitulation to the mob. It was reported that for the evening and morning shifts after the announcement, many Atlanta police officers called out sick in protest.

How could anyone be surprised by this? When an officer can be charged with felony murder for simply doing his job by the book, why would anyone want to be a police officer?

Earlier this week, we held a media call with doctors on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus, who voiced support for Vice President Mike Pence's clear message:

There will be no “second wave” of coronavirus.

Our Co-Founder Jenny Beth Martin was joined by Doctors Simone Gold, Mark McDonald, Lionel Lee, David Williams, and others. Together they conveyed the message that the reported rising infections in Texas, Arizona, Florida, Alabama and other states were not cause for alarm. Rather, that this rise in case numbers could be attributed to “increased testing and increased access to testing.”

This weekend President Trump will officially re-start his campaign rallies in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Not only is this great news for the President, it’s great news for the American people because it’s a sign we are finally returning to a sense of normalcy, following our months long battle with the coronavirus.

To no one's shock though, Democrats and the Mainstream Media are not happy about this return to campaigning. After weeks of cheering on protests, riots, and anarchists taking over city blocks, Democrats and the Mainstream Media are now attempting to say they are concerned with social distancing.

In their eyes it’s “social distancing for thee, but not for me,” apparently.

So, just to clarify their standard:

Thousands taking to the street to riot? No social distancing concerns.

Thousands wanting to peacefully assemble to support the President? The end of the world.

The fact is the Democrats and the Mainstream Media are beyond parody at this point. Americans are returning to a sense of normalcy, whether they like it or not. We wish they would drop their obvious double standard, but we know that will never happen.
