The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) -- the Republican organization dedicated to retaking the House -- just announced an additional $3 million to run attack ads against TJ Cox in the Central Valley.

This comes just after a Trump-aligned super PAC committed $1.6 million to unseat TJ and prop up Valadao. That puts us at a ground total of $4.6 million in outside spending to unseat Democrat TJ Cox, and we’re not even in the fall yet.

This is quickly turning into the most expensive House race in the state. That’s because the Republicans consider this their best -- and possibly only -- shot at retaking a lost House seat in California.
