Last week, we rallied against Bowser's Big Beautiful Budget. This budget is an attack on working people. It cuts tipped workers wages by $4.05. It strips 25,000 people of their health insurance under the DC Healthcare Alliance. It reduces union jobs on construction sites with Project Labor Agreement reductions.  It decreases Paid Family Leave benefits by nearly 15% for all workers and decreases the number of weeks during a medical crisis. It disempowers tenants by weakening TOPA.  It endangers immigrant neighbors by overturning the Sanctuary Values Act. The list goes on and on. 

DC JWJ is fighting back every step of the way. We have testified, rallied, walked the halls of the Wilson Building, spread awareness on social media, and much, much more. We even built a new coalition to fight for the Alliance. Every action helps protect our neighbors.
