Featured Funding OpportunitiesNYS Water Infrastructure Improvement (WIIA) Program and Intermunicipal Water Infrastructure Grants (IMG) ProgramThe WIIA Program provides competitive grants to help municipalities affordably undertake critical wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects.The IMG Program is available for both drinking water and wastewater projects that serve multiple municipalities, such as a shared water quality infrastructure project or the interconnection of multiple municipal water systems.Applications are due by 5 p.m. on September 12. EFC will hold a webinar at 10 a.m. on July 11 to share information about this round and how to apply. Advance registration is required.Any community that needs assistance with its water infrastructure is encouraged to contact the Community Assistance Teams.Fiscal Year 2025 Grant Opportunities from the Office on Violence Against WomenThe Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) provides federal leadership in developing the nation's capacity to reduce violence against women and administer justice for and strengthen services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Part 1 Grants.gov Submission deadline: July 17, 2025, 11:59 pm ETPart 2 NEA Applicant Portal Opens to applicants: July 22, 2025, 9:00 am ETPart 2 NEA Applicant Portal Submission deadline: July 29, 2025, 11:59 pm ETNotification of recommended funding or rejection: Early to mid-April 2026Earliest project start date: June 1, 2026NY Building Recreational Infrastructure for Communities, Kids and Seniors (NY BRICKS)Last week, Governor Hochul announced that funding is available from the NY BRICKS capital grant program to support municipalities and nonprofit organizations in building or renovating community centers that promote physical health, mental well-being, and community connections for youth and older adults.NY BRICKS will offer grants of up to $15 million to fund design, construction, renovation, and land acquisition for these centers. Priority will be given to projects in underserved communities, as well as those offering affordable services like childcare, eldercare, and mental health counseling. The application period for the NY BRICKS capital grant program will open on July 14, 2025 and applications must be submitted by August 15, 2025. Awards are expected to be announced no earlier than November 1, 2025.
