John, it's Lois Frankel, and before I ask you to join my pro-freedom campaign against an anti-choice opponent, I'm reaching out with an old photo to emphasize how I've been committed to fighting for reproductive freedom since the 80's! (That's me in the orange coat ⬆️)
And today, while we mourn the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision, it also serves as a reminder that anti-choice extremists have not slowed down in their attacks on reproductive freedom.
FIRST: In the direct aftermath of the decision, state after state introduced their version of an abortion ban — revoking millions of Americans' right to an abortion.
THEN: In 2024, MAGA Republicans made reproductive healthcare their big ticket issue, attacking IVF, contraception, and medications like mifepristone.
NOW: The Trump Administration has shown they're not willing to let the issue go. Earlier this year, RFK Jr. prompted the FDA to do a review on the mifepristone, and it's suspected that the US Supreme Court might re-examine their decision on the pill.
After all of that, John, one thing is painfully clear:
We must continue to elect pro-choice voices who understand how important it is to keep politicians out of our doctors' offices.
As my team and I work to spread awareness on MAGA extremists' actions surrounding this issue, we've also been working hard to share my history of being a pro-choice champion for our community — first as a State Rep. decades ago, now as your Congresswoman.
I, like the majority of Americans, believe that family-planning and healthcare decisions should stay between an individual and their doctor, John, and while I want to continue to lead with this mindset in Congress, my ability to keep my seat is being threatened by my GOP opponent.
The journey ahead of us won't be easy, John, but your support is key to connecting with folks across South Florida, sharing this message, and defeating my opponent in my next election. We can't move forward without you. Will you join our team with a donation of any amount you can spare?
