“President Trump and congressional Republicans are coming for your health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
It’s as cruel as that.” –Senator Dick Durbin (IL)

Dear Supporter,

The Senate just unveiled its version of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” — and it’s even more dangerous than we feared.

If passed, this bill would trigger the largest reduction to health care in U.S. history, stripping Medicaid coverage from more than 16 million Americans, including millions of seniors, just to bankroll massive tax giveaways that mainly benefit the wealthy and huge, profitable corporations.

GOP leaders may try to ram through this reckless bill this weekend. And so we need every single National Committee member to raise their voice right now before votes are cast.

In some cases, the Senate’s proposal goes even further than the House-passed version (H.R. 1), with devastating consequences for older Americans:

Cuts more from Medicaid — which helps two out of three seniors in nursing homes afford care — than the House version of this bill.

Targets Medicaid expansion, slashing coverage for millions living just above the poverty line.

Guts SNAP benefits, leaving many seniors to choose between groceries and medicine.

Imposes harsh new work requirements and red tape that will block access to care for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.

Jeopardizes cost-sharing assistance for 1.4 million low-income Medicare beneficiaries, making visits to the doctor unaffordable.

Senator Tammy Baldwin (WI). “We are talking about massive cuts to children, people with disabilities, rural Americans, seniors, and that is what we need to talk about.”

The numbers are staggering — but the impact is personal. This bill threatens the dignity and well-being of millions of older Americans who rely on Medicaid to remain in their homes, afford nursing care or simply see a doctor.

That’s why we need your help right now to stop it.

Tell your Senators: Don’t cut Medicaid. Don’t gamble with seniors’ lives.

The Senate is rushing to vote before July 4. Once this damage is done, it will be nearly impossible to undo.

Your voice — joined with tens of thousands of others — can make a real difference in the final hours.

Thank you for standing up for older Americans and the programs they depend on.

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
