Hi John. As you know, President Trump ordered the U.S. military to attack three suspected nuclear sites in Iran.

Protecting U.S. safety and security is my top priority. I'll closely review the intelligence on these actions to see if they effectively addressed the threat of Iran’s nuclear program. But I'm gravely concerned this action places our troops, Americans here at home, and global stability at risk.

My respect is with all service members stationed around the world.

But let me be clear. President Trump’s unilateral decision to launch military action against Iran while bypassing congressional approval puts American troops, Americans here at home, and global stability at risk. It also threatens another endless war.

The administration must immediately provide the American people with the answers they deserve and respect Congress’ constitutional authority over matters of war and peace.
