Impeach Trump for his illegal strikes on Iran!

Trump turns up the homophobia in atomic meltdown over "fake news"

It is quickly becoming very obvious that Trump's illegal, unprovoked bombing attack against Iran's Fordow nuclear power plant was not nearly as successful as he claims it was. Examinations of satellite images and radiological scans indicate that the reactor was not destroyed, as Trump claims it was, and pushback from the media began immediately. Trump, predictably, did not like that. “The sites that we hit in Iran were totally destroyed, and everyone knows it. Only the Fake News would say anything different in order to try and demean, as much as possible — And even they say they were “pretty well destroyed!” raged Trump on social media. But then he took it too far, mocking gay anchor Anderson Cooper as "Allison" in an insult-laden tirade: “Working especially hard on this falsehood is Allison Cooper of Fake News CNN, Dumb Brian L. Roberts, Chairman of ‘Con’cast, Jonny Karl of ABC Fake News, and always, the Losers of, again, Concast’s NBC Fake News." Judging from the desperation, the spite, and the fury of his response, it's pretty easy to judge who's telling the truth here. Spoiler alert: it isn't the guy who lies about literally everything.

Iowa mechanic fights to put a spine back in the Senate

Nathan Sage The GOP Senate’s utter refusal to do ANYTHING to stop Trump from trampling our rights and the rule of law makes it clear we need to put a spine back in Washington. That’s why mechanic, marine veteran, and local Iowa sports host Nathan Sage is launching a bid to unseat Trump-enabler Joni Ernst, fight for the needs of working-class Americans, and be the xxxxxx against the tides of fascism unleashed by Trump and his cronies. Will you chip in to help jump-start his campaign? A new poll has him leading by two points, 47-45!

Trump announces ceasefire between Israel and Iran that is immediately violated by both sides
Last night, the President posted on Truth Social that Iran and Israel had both agreed to a ceasefire; both nations denied having agreed to such a thing but eventually conceded to a cessation of hostilities after a more attacks by both sides, to Trump's visible consternation. Under the apparent terms of the deal, the ceasefire would have gone into effect in twelve hours, but Israel took the opportunity to launch a major air attack. “Israel, as soon as we made the deal they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I’ve never seen before. The biggest load that we’ve seen. I’m not happy with Israel. You know, when I say, ‘OK now you have 12 hours,’ you don’t go out to the first hour, just drop everything you have on, so I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either,” he said."Israel and Iran don’t know what the f*ck they’re doing. As soon as I made the deal, Israel dropped bombs" growled an irritated Trump to the media on Tuesday morning in what has to be the most harshly critical statement a United States president has made about Israel in recent memory. Trump even went to Truth Social to post "ISRAEL, DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS!" Trump appears geniunely intent on ensuring the Israel-Iran war doesn't escalate any further now that he had his big TV bombing moment, but all this could have been avoided in the first place if he'd just LEFT OBAMA'S IRAN DEAL ALONE.

Iran retaliates against Trump with missile barrage against US airbase in Qatar
The simmering conflict between the United States and Iran heated up on Monday with an Iranian missile barrage against the Al Udeid Air Base, but it appears to have been more for show than a serious escalation. Iran gave the Qataris advance notice of the strike and most of the missiles were intercepted by very expensive Patriot missile defense batteries. However, Kuwait and Qatar were both forced to close their airspaces, reminding the world just how easily Iran can cause major disruptions in the region.

Supreme Court greenlights Trump admin's cruel plan to deport migrants to countries they aren't from
The six conservative Justices on the Supreme Court proved once again they are a willing participants in Trump's monstrous carnival of cruelty, lifting a lower court's ban on deporting immigrants to countries they don't have any ties to — meaning the Trump team can resume trying to deport Latin American immigrants to places like South Sudan. They offered no explanation for why they think this is legal, and that's likely because there is none beyond "we will do what Donald Trump wants" and "there is no possible argument that could justify this grand conspiracy to throw innocent migrants into a living nightmare.

NYC heads to the polls in major showdown between old guard centrist and upstart democratic socialist

All eyes are on the Big Apple as surging progressive Zohran Mamdani faces off against disgraced former governor Andrew Cuomo in a primary election that could send shockwaves around the country. Zohran has run a fantastic policy-based campaign that has quickly closed the gap between himself and Cuomo, who is barely running a campaign and choosing to rely purely on name recognition, Islamophobia, and $35 million in Super PAC dark money from Big Tech, landlords, and Republicans. Cuomo, of course, had to resign in disgrace after being enmired in a major sexual harrassment scandal but has somehow found himself endorsed by many of the people who called on him to resign in the first place by Democrats who prefer Cuomo's old guard centrist corruption to Zohran's Democratic Socialist agenda of free buses, free childcare, housing reform, and rent freezes. It's been a real "show your true colors" moment for a lot of ostensible Democrats.

Israel opens fire, killing 25 aid seekers and wounding 146
Israeli forces and drones opened fire toward hundreds of people waiting for aid trucks in central Gaza early Tuesday, killing at least 25 people, Palestinian witnesses and hospitals said, as health authorities said the number of Palestinians killed in the war has risen above 56,000. In Tuesday’s incident, Palestinian witnesses told The Associated Press that Israeli forces opened fire as people advanced eastward toward trucks delivering food to a distribution site. “It was a massacre,” said Ahmed Halawa. He said tanks and drones fired at people, “even as we were fleeing. Many people were either martyred or wounded.” Palestinian witnesses and health officials say Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire on crowds seeking desperately needed food, killing hundreds of people in recent weeks.

Thune’s 48-hour megabill scramble
GOP leaders desperately want to get Trump's Extra Large Shitty Bill voted into law before the July 4th weekend, but major hurdles remain as they’re scrambling to rewrite critical pieces of it while major policy disputes remain unresolved. The major sticking points appear to be efforts to get rid of Biden-era green energy credits, SALT tax deductions, and a rural hospital fund for all the hospitals that would have to close due to the GOP's draconian cuts to Medicaid. On top of that, the Senate parliamentarian has been gutting huge swathes of the extra pork that the GOP is shoving into the bill, including Mike Lee's plan to sell 250 million acres of public land (now halved as the Forestry land sale has been deemed noncompliant) and the ridiculous GOP plan to sell the Postal Services' electric vehicles and replace them with diesel (are you KIDDING ME?!) “We’ll eventually pass something,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) told reporters. “I just can’t tell you when.” Hopefully, it'll be never.

Murkowski suggests she could become an Independent in the right circumstance
“There may be that possibility,” said Mukowski on a podcast, who clarified that Democrats would have to win three seats in 2026 and then offer substantial goodies for Alaska. “My problem with your hypothetical is that as challenged as I think we may be on the Republican side, I don’t see the Democrats being much better. And they’ve got not only their share of problems, but quite honestly, they’ve got some policies that I just inherently disagree with.” Okay, thanks? One more vote to help pass a major reconciliation bill would be nice in theory, but at what cost?
