Dear Angeleno,
Like many of you, I'm outraged and appalled by bad actors who have vandalized and harmed our Downtown L.A. neighborhood. Those who vandalize places like El Pueblo show that they do not care about immigrant communities in Los Angeles.
Now more than ever, we need to show up for our city. I hope you will join us in showing the true spirit of Los Angeles for Shine LA this Saturday, June 28th.
This Shine LA is more than just a cleanup — it's a chance to show our strength, resilience and dedication to protecting our communities.
This is why I’m calling on Angelenos to come together to beautify and restore our beloved Downtown community spaces like El Pueblo.
Join community leaders and Angelenos from across the city to show how Los Angeles is stronger when we stand together. This strength exists in Los Angeles because we will always stand up for what’s right and fight for the city that we love.
From litter pick-up to graffiti removal, let’s show the world the best of Los Angeles.
