Twenty years ago, in their rush to appear strong and tough, politicians – from both parties – failed to ask the hard questions before starting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They failed us, our fellow veterans, and the American people. Now, trillions of dollars and countless deaths later, we still haven’t gotten accountability. We refuse to make those same mistakes.

BREAKING: As Iran attacks U.S. bases in the Middle East, 12 Democratic military-veteran Members of Congress just fired off a blistering letter to Donald Trump referencing the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

"We refuse to make those same mistakes," they write, pledging support for a War Powers Resolution that blocks any further strikes on Iran without a vote.

Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) are trying to get a vote on the House floor for a bipartisan War Powers Resolution, and Tim Kaine (D-VA) is pushing for a vote THIS WEEK on one in the Senate.

SIGN THE PETITION: Pass a War Powers Resolution immediately and stop Trump’s illegal war with Iran. We’ll update congressional leaders and reporters as signatures surge.

If Congress stalls, Trump will strike again. Let’s show overwhelming public opposition now.

Then call Rep. Brendan Boyle and Sens. John Fetterman and Dave McCormick. We’ll give you their numbers and a short script. (Leave a message if you get voicemail!)

Thanks for standing up in this moment.

P.S. AOC calls Trump's actions "absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment." Take the 1-question survey: Do you support Dems calling for impeachment of Donald Trump?
