Right now, Pennsylvania is falling dangerously behind when it comes to clean energy. Despite being the second-largest energy producer in the country — only after Texas — our state gets just 4% of its energy from clean, renewable sources. Most of our power still comes from fracked gas and coal, which pollutes our air, hurts our health, and leaves our grid more vulnerable to outages from severe weather and overloading.
We need to modernize. Setting a clear goal of reaching 35% clean energy by 2035 isn’t just aspirational — it’s essential. It will help lower energy costs, make our power more reliable, and create new jobs in our communities.Â
With Washington D.C. attempting to destroy the renewables across the country, it’s up to our elected officials in Harrisburg to take the lead.Â
Gov. Shapiro promised to support clean energy. Now, we need him to stand strong and keep that promise.
Take action today: Contact Governor Shapiro and urge him to stand firm on 35x35 and support PRESS. |
