Let’s be clear, friend:
The American people did not vote for war with Iran. Many who voted for Trump in November, especially young people, said they did so because he ran on an anti-war platform.
But now, he’s betrayed his word, because he is a notorious liar, by engaging in offensive hostilities against Iran, which just today resulted in retaliatory missile strikes on US bases in Qatar and Iraq.
No president — not Biden, not Trump, not anyone — should be allowed to drag us into war without Congressional approval. We’re asking you to sign our petition tonight demanding that Congress assert its war-making powers.

The drums of war with Iran are getting louder. Now, Trump is even talking about regime change. There are few things young people understand more than the damage that twenty years of reckless and unwinnable war in the Middle East did to our country and to our future.
And unless we speak up, the same politicians who let far-right extremists run wild at home will let presidents launch wars abroad without consequence.
We didn’t elect a f*cking king. We still live in a democracy, and we will not be silent as war-mongers try to send us into another bloody and disastrous regime-change war.
Presidents don’t get to send troops into conflict while Congress sits on the sidelines. It’s reckless, but it’s also unconstitutional.
And we know how this playbook ends. We’ve seen it before: Endless war. Zero accountability. Lives lost. Money wasted. Truth buried.
Tell Congress: If they’re too scared to stand up and vote for or against a war, they don’t deserve to be in office.
