Dear John,
In 2018, NIAC launched a report calling for the U.S. to return to the Iran nuclear deal and urging that lawmakers and Presidential candidates publicly commit to a return. That effort helped lead to the Democratic Party committing in their platform to return to the deal and all major candidates pledging to do so if elected. Now we are launching our new report, "A Maximum Pressure Exit Strategy" that outlines how a Biden Administration - or Trump if he truly wants a deal - can return to the agreement and to the negotiating table to resolve regional issues and additional challenges.
Sign up now to join us for our report launch and be the first to receive a copy of our new report.
Next week's launch will include an expert panel featuring Joe Cirincione, President of the Ploughshares Fund, Suzanne DiMaggio, Chairman of the Quincy Institute and Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and NIAC President Jamal Abdi. The discussion will be moderated by Sanam Shantyaei, Senior Journalist at France 24.
How would a Biden administration return to the deal, and if so what hurdles could it encounter? Could Trump pivot away from maximum pressure? And, if the nuclear accord is stabilized, how could the U.S. use diplomacy to resolve tensions across the region? Join us next week to find out.
