Before I launch into the details of my firm suing Donald Trump and his administration on behalf of the DGA and Democratic leaders to block his Executive Order stripping voter protections and handing power to election deniers, will you chip in $3 – or more – to the DGA to fuel our fight back against Trump and elect Democratic governors who will defend our most sacred right to vote.

John, Donald Trump’s Executive Order was an all-out assault on democracy. It attacks vote-by-mail, jeopardizes voting rights for millions, including active duty military, and makes it harder for states to run their own free and fair elections. It’s a dangerous, illegal power grab to tip elections in Republicans’ favor.

That’s why immediately after Trump signed the Executive Order, my team and the DGA jumped into action and sued Trump on behalf of Democrats across the nation – and a judge has already issued a preliminary injunction to block multiple provisions of it.

But the fight isn’t over. Trump and his Republican sycophants won’t back down until they’ve suppressed our voices and our ballots, so we can’t back down until we’ve secured free and fair elections. We will push back every step of the way to make one thing clear: the President can’t rewrite federal election laws on his own.

And that’s exactly what Democrats are doing – fighting to protect your rights. Our Democratic governors are leading the charge, standing strong as the last line of defense against repeated Republican attacks on voting rights and so much more. They’re even suing the Trump Administration – and winning.

But remember: the GOP and their right-wing groups will stop at nothing to hold onto power, including undermining voter turnout. Trump knows the best way to secure Republican victories is through voter suppression and election subversion. That’s why there’s too much at stake to sit on the sidelines, John.
