1️⃣ The gun violence epidemic is the number one cause of death for children. Gun deaths for children have increased 106% since 2013, and has been their leading cause of death since 2020.

2️⃣ We can bring solutions to the process. After every shooting, politicians and the media listen to everyone except the teachers on the front lines. We know how to keep our schools and communities safe, and we’re stepping up to make it happen.

3️⃣ We don’t get to move on. After every shooting, when the politicians and cameras leave, we still live in the aftermath of a tragedy. We need a way to keep our voices strong once the news cycle moves on.

We cannot teach like this, and we don’t have to live like this. Already, Teachers Unify has been able to make a difference, leading trainings and building our presence on campuses nationwide. But we cannot stop here – and that’s why we need your help.
